The prototype of world’s first SD card with 1 terabyte capacity is presented by a famous memory card manufacturing company, SanDisk.

The continuous increase in the requirement of capacity for 4K, 8K and virtual reality videos is the reason behind designing this SD memory card of 1TB. These videos require several times more digital memory per second as compared to HD and half HD videos. Not only the data storage of new smartphones will be increased with this memory card but it will also benefit cameras that use HD, 4K, 8K and VR videography. In this memory card, the users can save high quality videos of several hours duration.

The time of availability of this SD card is not told by SanDisk but its introductory price could be $300 or more, according to the assessment by critics and experts. Though, its price is high but it will not be felt so due to its capacity that will make the user problem-free for long time once after purchasing it.
