It will be amazing if there is an HD picture quality display that can be folded and taken away in a bag. Now it is true as SPUD or Spontaneous Pop-Up Display is such a device. This is a completely unique project of the current time as the wide screen device will also been made portable.

Initially, it set the goal of $30,000 but it has received $229,551 while 42 days are still left. Arovia is the company behind this project which claimed this device to be the first large and portable display.

According to the company, SPUD is a 24” high resolution display that works like an umbrella. Weight of SPUD is less than 2 pounds while it is a 24” ordinary shaped monitor that can be folded like umbrella if required. As compared to a traditional monitor, it is more like a projector in principal.

It produces a sharp and bright image with the combination of Digital Light Processing Technology with custom optics due to which it is different from traditional displays.

You can plug in your smartphone or laptop with SPUD as USB and HDMI are available at its back. Apart from that, the device also supports ROKU, Chromecast and other streaming devices. On full brightness, the internal battery can last for 3 hours.

The company claims that you can use it as a second screen for giving presentation or normal workstation and also play games from your smartphone.

After the start of sale in the 2nd half of 2017, the price of SPUD will be $499 but you can take it for just $379 after reserving it now.

Its shipping is available around the globe while its shipping price in Pakistan is around Rs. 4000 ($39).
