One of the fantastic features of Apple is Airplay. In which with no setup required, you just beam content from your iOS and OS X devices wirelessly, all you have to do is connect your Apple TV. It works great, but unfortunately only on Apple’s devices it just works.

Airplay alternative worked by Google

Named as Android and Google TV, now on the same feature, the Google is said to be working for its own set of products. Other software and hardware vendors will be allowed by Google’s service to implement it in their products, unlike Apple’s version, it will be open.

At this point, there is not much known about it. But you will be able to beam content from your Android device or we can say to your Google TV or a standard TV connecting it with something like Nexus Q, all this can be done once it is launched. Recently Google included Miracast supported in Android 4.2, which does the same things, so I am not sure that why Google is bothering with this.
