Sharp’s Aquos S2

Sharp has released the new smart phone, the Aquos S2 and the company has introduced this smart phone in the market few days ago and it has the highest screen to body ratio, when you compare it with others.

This smart phone is provided in the market in China only. Sharp Aquos S2 is provided in the market in 2 different versions and the cheaper variant is provided at Rs.39,000 (CNY 2,499) and the expensive version has the cost of Rs.55,000 (CNY 3,499).

Design and Display

The appearance of the mobile phone is like the mishmash of various other famous android phones. The front look of the handset is like the Essential phone and it has the weird looking camera is provided to block the screen. The top edges of screen are cut off as it is little bit unconventional. The back of the handset, Aquos S2 looks like HTC U11 or Xiaomi Mi 6 and curved on all sides and edges. This handset has the potential similarity with camera unit and it is same as vertical camera orientation of iPhone 8.

The display of the Aquos S2 comes in at 5.5 inches with an IPS panel. The resolution of the handset clocks in slightly higher than Full HD (1080 x 2040) with 17.9 aspect ratio and 420 PPI pixel density.

Internals and storage capacity

Aquos S2 does not have flagship specifications and it is provided in the market with Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 or 660. The storage and the memory options are ranged from 4 GB / 64 GB and 6 GB / 128 GB respectively. It is dual SIM phone and it uses hybrid SIM / microSD card slot to extend the storage capacity up to 256 GB. OS is Android 7.1 Nougat with the custom skin of Sharp.

Camera and Battery

Sharp Aquos 2 is added with dual camera setup, which is provided on the back with the provision of 12 MP and 8 MP sensors. Sharp was added with seven level bokeh effect for camera and it looks like iPhone 7 Plus. The primary camera is added with PDAF and dual LED flash. The front camera is 8 MP sensor and it is like various other smart phones.

This handset is powered by 3020 mAh battery, which powers the Aquos S2 and it is sufficient for mid range / super mid range phone. It is featured with Qualcomm Qucik Charge 3.0, fast charging support.
