A directive has been issued by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority for banning the sale of any new SIMs in whole Pakistan including Sindh, Punjab, Baluchistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, after the banning of MNP in Pakistan and for controlling the sale of new SIMs at retailers’ shops, taking all the other measures, as according to the report of Dawn News.

On sale of mobile phone SIMs at all company and franchise outlets, the ban will result into a restriction.

On the direction of Interior Ministry, the orders were by PTA, as said by Paper.

Due to the excessive use of illegal SIMs in the most terrorist activities in all provinces of Pakistan, the ban on new SIMs in Sindh, Punjab, Baluchistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were imposed, as according to the saying.
