Most of the people know that smart phone is sold in the market on the basis of its OS but the sales of the individual handset are not known. The new report of Strategy Analytics shows the best selling Android handsets of 2016 and the results are not encouraging.

Samsung is the leader of the market and its handset, Galaxy S7 Edge is shipped in the market in 13.3 million numbers across the globe or it is equal to 2.3% of entire Android shipments. After that another handset, Galaxy J2 is at the entry level and it is added with non HD display and with the approx 13 million shipments. Samsung has another handset, Galaxy S7, which is the third best selling smart phone with the total shipments of 11.8 million.

There are some other mobile manufacturing companies, which are the rival companies and they have introduced the handsets, Huawei P9, OPPO R9 and Vivo X7 from China and it can spell the end of domination of this manufacturer. For the time being, the sale of the smart phone manufacturing company, Samsung is growing well and it reaches to 77.6 million in the last quarter from 71.9 million during the last year.

If you want to do the comparison, Apple has shipped 91.6 million smart phones in the first half of the year and it is decreased from 108.7 million from previous year. Different from Apple, Android is growing from 552.2 million to 577.3 million from last year and it indicates that the market does not topped out for various companies till yet.
