With the largest touch screen it has ever put into production, BlackBerry has just announced the Z30 smartphone. With the company’s latest version of BB 10 OS, it’s the first BlackBerry to ship.
Around a 5” Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, the BlackBerry Z30 is built. Due to this, the pixel density meter stop at 295 ppi. In its core, the Z30 is powered by 2GB of RAM and a dual-core 1.7 GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset.

A 2,880mAh battery lies behind the battery back cover and measures 140.7 x 72 x 9.4mm. Its difference from Z10 is just 0.1mm and the largest battery found in Z30 hasn’t made it much thicker. The BlackBerry Z30 supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, LTE, NFC and Bluetooth 4.0.

The back of Z30 holds 1080p video recording capabilities and 8MP camera with an f/2.2 lens. With 2MP front-facing snapper, video chatting has been taken care of which records 720p video.
The BlackBerry Z30 runs BB10 OS version 10.2 out of the box. Including BB priority Hub, message previews in the lock screen, Wi-Fi direct support, multiple alarms and standard Unicode emojis, it brings some improvements to the BlackBerry ecosystem.

BlackBerry Z10 and BlackBerry Q10 users would be happy to know that in mid Oct, the company will be launching the BB 10 version 10.2 update. Due to carrier approval of the update, there might be some delays.
Z30 is expected to hit the UK as early as next week, though BlackBerry hasn’t specified any pricing or availability information just yet. When more information becomes available, we’ll keep you posted.
