Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority managed the bidding of the auction of the DTH licenses and this bid war was continued for over 15 hours. PEMRA has announced the three winners of the DTH licenses and the detail of these winners is given as under:

• Shahzad Sky
• Startimes Communication

PEMRA has announced the successful bid for Rs.4.898 billion for single license and the three winners will get DTH license for the same amount. The whole amount of all these three bids will be Rs.14.694 billion as a result of this bidding.

The process of the DTH bidding was conducted on the short order of Supreme Court and it is allowed to conduct the auction of the DTH license. The apex court said that the bidding of the DTH license will be conducted with the detailed order of High Court.
