Isis Shiffer is the fresh graduate of Pratt Institute of Design in New York and she has prepared the eco friendly helmet, which she gave the name of EcoHelmet. This helmet can be fold and it is recyclable bike helmet, which has won the James Dyson Award this year. She prepared this helmet from recycled paper woven into a honeycomb structure in order to protect the head of the cyclist from any outside injury to head of the cycle rider. This helmet is covered in biodegradable coating to make it rainproof for about three hours. She said that her helmet won the £30,000 in the competition, which is open for university students or the students, who completed their study recently.

She said that she completed her study at Royal College of Arts and from the Imperial College of London and she got the access to the crash lab of Imperial College for her study. She said that she had the European standard helmet crash set up, which allowed her to collect enough data on proprietary honeycomb configuration of EcoHelmet so that they know it was viable and it can be developed more. Now she will sell the EcoHelmet at bike share stations in UK for £4 per helmet.
