Google’s lightweight VR headsets start selling outside of the U.S.

Google is also taking a bet on virtual reality like other giant companies Samsung and Facebook. Now a division of virtual reality, ‘Cardboard’, has been established inside Google which is progressing for Android viewers.

In Canada, UK, Germany and France, the selling of cardboard viewers started on Thursday by the California based corporation.

Cardboard is an easy and cheap way to use as VR technology on Android phones by Google while they are accurately made from cardboard.

The company collaborated with New York Times in October to send 1 million free devices to the readers of the magazine which enabled them to watch virtual reality documentaries created by New York Times. Google announced in January that alone in USA, it has shipped 5 million cardboard viewers.

Now the company is trying to get same type of success in other countries also. According to the company, the price of cardboard is 20 euro in France and Germany, 15 pound in UK and 20 CAD in Canada. According to reports, the development of a standalone VR headset is also underway by the company.

It is expected that the market of VR will reach $150 by 2020 and it is the main reason that Google, Samsung, Facebook and other companies are betting on preparation of VR devices.

$600 is the price of Facebook’s Oculus Rift VR device which is in the market while Apple has hired a leading academic in VR last year and it is expected to enter the VR market soon.

In Pakistan it will be available in 2500 Rs. to 3000
