The easiest feature of Google Photos allows users to upload unlimited photos and videos, but this feature will not be available soon, Google announced in a blog post.
In 2021, Google Photos will apply a 15 GB upload limit by default to every Google Account. Previously, this only applied to images uploaded in full non-compressed quality, while there was no limit to uploading high quality compressed images. However, from June 2021, all photos and videos will be limited to 15 GB. The new change will apply to the date uploaded after June 2021, and anything added before that will not be taken into account.
In addition, after the month announced, users will be required to subscribe to Google One services to extend their benefits. However, if you have been inactive on the platform for more than 2 years, or have exceeded your upload limit for more than 2 years, Google may delete your content across multiple services. Also, if you have a Google Pixel phone, you can continue to upload full quality images that will last for years.
