Last attempt for HP at chromebook was a failure attempt. It was laggy, had an outdated design and its cost was $329. But this time the company came up with a better one HP Chromebook 14.

The Chrome OS running laptop still comes with a 14” displaybut rather than an Intel Celeron, it opts for an Intel Haswell.

HP have chosen rubberized finish and a plastic design over completely finger-print loving plastic, for the design. The laptop is quite heavy at around 4 pounds. They came in several eye-popping colors.

The keyboard below is accompanied by a track pad with a single key. At the front, there is a webcam too. The 14” screen comes with 1366×768 resolutions.

As for the internals, it comes with a 16GB SSD and a 4th-generation Intel Haswell of unknown kind. Along with an SD card slot, cloud storage worth 100 GB through Google Drive is available for two years.

Battery life is quoted as being around 9 hours. For connectivity, it uses Wi-Fi, USB 2.0, USB 3.0 and HDMI.

An exact release date isn’t given but it will be available for purchase later this year. The Chrome book 14 costs $299.
