The shape of the HTC 10 is one of the most important things in the device as it makes the first impression which is important from consumer point of view. Few of the qualities of HTC design are present in the current mobile also but it also brought several necessary changes. Like, the last flagship One M9 was similar to One M8 but the HTC 10 is quite different from both these phones.

It is a 5.2” Quad HD Super LCD Display with 30% more brightness. For better grip, HTC 10 has vertical edges towards back while around there are sloping edges.

The home button is available again which include fingerprint scanner while you will again find the physical capacitive keys again. There is a selfie camera on the top while its optical image stabilization is making it quite prominent. The only drawback is its aluminum design which is not looking quite good but it is a subjective thing that doesn’t matter much.

Sound matters

There is a newer BoomSound Hi-Fi audio system which is a big hardware change. Now you will get a faultless audio with a tweeter for higher frequencies and a woofer for lower frequencies. A high quality DAC will upscale the audio of the phone to 24-bit while a better quality headphone will further increase the audio quality. All music files will be adjusted automatically according to your like through a new Personal Audio Profile System.

As compared to other similar devices, the headphone amp has ten times lesser distortion and it captures twice more amount of standard amps. Now you will also get 70% oversized drivers and an 8 µm aerospace polymer diaphragm.

You can get the Airplay Support on Android through third-party apps but it is the first time that you will get it officially on a Google device which shows that there is a deal between the two companies (Google and Apple). You will get live audio from Apple TV through this feature. There is no doubt this is the biggest thing that differentiates HTC 10 with other flagships of the company.

Fret not, it is still fast

In general, HTC phones are faster than other phones but the Snapdragon 820 processor of HTC 10 will take the speed more brisk. You will also get 32/ 64 GB storage and 4 GB RAM. Apart from that, the phone will also support 2 TB memory cards.

Due to all these features, you can easily play the most demanding games on this phone with 5.2” display. HTC holds 3000 mAh battery through which it will take only 30 minutes to charge 50% capacity of the phone.

A 12 MP main camera is available in the phone which has the qualities of laser autofocus, f/1.8 and OIS. You will also get LED flash, 4k videos and 24-bit audio. Apart from that, a selfie camera of 5 MP OIS is also present here.

Android 6.0 marshamallow is the OS of HTC 10 while you will get several customizations including Blinkfeed. Instead of the traditional app grids, there is a new theme due to which accessing apps are replaced by stickers.

HTC is not famous for its customization but it seems customers will like this area of HTC this time.

Extravagance costs

Everyone knows that HTC devices are not cheaper at all and the same is in the case of HTC 10 which is available at the price of $699 which is even more than the Galaxy S7. But the good thing now is that you will not face issues like gripping that was present in the case of One A9.
