There have been many reports on a device allegedly been leaked many times with the codename M8, expected to be named HTC Two or HTC One 2, and is long-rumored successor of the HTC One.

According to a tweet by famous tipster @evleaks, in the offing is a mini-variant of the upcoming M8. Although of the launch, there are no details but at MWC 2014, we expect it to come alongside the M8. The HTC One mini was the mini-variant of its current flagship smartphone, launched by HTC.

On Friday, @evleaks tweeted some of the purported specifications of the alleged smartphone HTC M8 mini. The tipster says that the M8 mini will have Android 4.4.2 KitKat, 1GB RAM, quad-core 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset and 4.5” 720p display.

Onscreen buttons, 16GB inbuilt storage with microSD card expandability option, 5MP front-facing camera and 13MP rear camera are the other purported specifications of the M8 mini.

Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac are the leaked specifications of connectivity option in the tweet.

To see from here on interesting is the pricing factor of HTC phones as on the M8 mini, the specifications are not very impressive.

To return to profit, HTC has said that it will make cheaper smartphones. To reverse a two-year sales slump matched by an 80% drop in its share price, the Taiwanese phone maker is trying.

For both emerging and developed markets, HTC will sell products in the range of $150 to $300 retail price while for over $600, the high-end mobile phones can sell.
