An S version of its super-thin Ascend P6 smartphone is quietly put out by Huawei Ascend P6 S of Huawei is 0.3 thicker. Though it has the same battery capacity of 2000mAh but still only goes as high as 6.5mm.
From 1.5GHz, the chipset has been a bit bumped up and features a quad-core 1.6GHz processor now. Whether it’s a Huawei’s own chipset or not, but either way there’s no LTE support. It’s a dual-standby, dual-SIM phone, while there was a dual-SIM option in the original P6.
The other specs are identical – 5MP front-facing camera, 8MP main camera, 16GB storage, 2GB RAM and 4.7” LCD with 720p resolution.
Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with Emotion UI 2.0 on top is run by the Ascend P6 S. On Vmall (Huawei’s own web store), the phone is currently available and only on China Unicom, it is available.
The regular price is CNY 2700 ($446), which is same as the Ascend Mate 2 and few days ago, it went on sale.
