Apple is going to make decision that the release of the iPhone X will be discontinued this year but the smart phones like iPhone 8 and 8 Plus will be present in the market. The analyst of Apple said that company might discontinue the smart phone as the new model is released in the market rather than continue with it.

Lackluster Sales

It is expected that the company have the sales of 62 million units and it is lower than 80 million, which were estimated. It is expected that Apple will ship 18 million units of the phone in first quarter of 2018, which is the lower figure than 20 to 30 million.

This smart phone received the cool response in China as the people think that this smart phone has the reduced screen size and the last phone after the first year was the ill-fated and cheap, iPhone 5C.

iPhone X Plus

The technologies of phone will be used in the new coming handsets like iPhone X Plus and Apple is expected to introduce three new handsets in the market like larger 6.1 inch and 6.5 inch OLED phones. The slow sales of the iPhone X are due to sustained growth of iPhone 6 and 7 lines. The 2017 models made up for less than two thirds of all Apple smart phones, which are sold during last quarter with iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.

Super Cycle

2017 model might rebound part of ‘Super Cycle’ and it has the three high end phones on sale and it is resulted into the 5% lift in sales. At the end of 2018, it is expected that Apple will end with 10% increase in sales.
