Lenovo Z5s front and back

Chinese smart phone making company, Lenovo has introduced two new smart phones, which are part of its Z5 family and the high end Lenovo Z5 Pro 855 edition and the midrange Lenovo Z5s. Lenovo Z5s Triple Camera Phone.

This smart phone is the midrange phone, and it is more affordable than Z5 Pro 855. It looks like remake of 6 month old Z5 and has better internal storage and it is first water drop notch design of Lenovo. It is also the first phone from Lenovo, which has triple camera setup. Lenovo has the conventional dual cam set up for some time now and it should be interesting to watch what the Chinese mobile phone makers bring to table with the iteration of triple camera.

Design & Display

Z5s is provided in the market with different changes when you compare it with its predecessor and other sibling mobile phones. There are the significant internal performance improvements and the design of the device has been overhauled with the water drop notch on the front. The notch has the single front selfie shooter and screen to body ration has been improved with slimmer chin and trimmed bezels. The glossy body has the familiar triple camera set up and it looks like similar to P20 Pro Huawei. When you check its display, Lenovo Z5s has the features of LTPS IPS LCD and has the measurements of 6.3 inches at an FHD+ resolution and the aspect ratio is 19.5:9.

Hardware & Storage

There is another change made in the Z5s, which is the new snapdragon 710 chipset and it is fairly decent chipset to promise early flagship performance in midrange devices for cheap. The chipset has the features of hardware level machine learning. The internal storage is provided to the clients in two sizes of 128 GB and 64 GB and they are paired with 4 GB or 6 GB RAM.

Camera & Software

The smart phone of Lenovo has the triple camera set up and the iteration is added with 16 MP primary shooter with wide angle aperture and 8 MP telephoto lens with 2 x optical zoom and it is also added with conventional 5 MP depth sensor.

The third lens is used for artificial background blue and it can take the portrait mode photos in excellent way. It can also record 4K videos at 30 FPS. The selfie shooter is single 16 MP unit with AI features and basic 1080p video recording.

Battery, Price & Availability

Lenovo Z5s is powered by 3300 mAh battery and it supports 15W fast charging through 2.0 USB type-C connector. The mobile phone is available in the dashing colors like starry night grey, titanium blue and love orange.

The pricing of the mobile phone is started at CNY 1398 for 4/64 GB and the base variant is available in starry night grey color and the higher variant can be purchase in all three colors.
