Like smartphone companies, the chipmakers are also seems to be in a very tough competition with each other. The chipmakers are trying to produce the speed efficient and high end chipsets to make their dominant presence in the market. Recently, the renowned American chipmaker launched its flagship chipset 888 and then Samsung and MediaTek also came on front with their latest flagship SoCs. The Qualcomm also launched another chipset with highest clock speed Snapdragon 870 and now MediaTek also came up with its two flagship chipsets the Dimensity 1200 and Dimensity 1100.

The chipsets are featured with same Mali G77 GPU with 9 cores. The Dimensity 1200 can support up to 165Hz displays with 1080p resolution, whereas the 1100 chip can handle up to 144Hz 1080p displays. Camera support goes up to 200MP and 108MP on the Dimensity 1200 and 1100 respectively. 

MediaTek Dimensity 1200

As far the hardware both chips comes with same raw hardware with a little differences. The Dimensity 1200 features a configuration of 1+3+4. It has a prime Cortex A78 core running at 3.0GHz and three additional A78 cores at 2.6GHz. The rest of them are four power-efficient A55 cores running at 2.0GHz. The MediaTek Dimensity 1200 is a premium chipset than 1100. As compared to previous generations, the CPU performance is improved than before that is now 22% better and the power efficiency is 25%.

MediaTek Dimensity 1100

The MediaTek Dimensity 1100, on the other hand comes with a prime core as it has all four Cortex A78 cores running at 2.6GHz. Its architecture, gives an edge over its previous generations regarding single core and multi core performance.
