Motorola Announces Cheapest Phone Yet, the Moto E and a new Moto G

In recent times, Motorola has been announcing many brilliant devices but it in fact outdid everyone in the last six months. The best budget smartphone still is Moto G that was introduced by Motorola and now by announcing an even cheaper the Moto E, it has taken another big step. Apart from economical, the specs even are very respectable for the Moto E.

At its front, the Moto E is Gorilla Glass 3-protected while it has a 4.3” display with 256 pixels per inch and 540×960 qHD resolutions. The design of this phone is quite similar to the Moto X and Moto G while its back-covers (turquoise, lemon, white, black colors) are removable.

Under Moto E hood, the things present are 4GB expandable internal storage, Adreno 302 to handle the graphics, 1GB RAM and 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor which is just below the Snapdragon 400 of Moto G.

There is no front-facer and LED flash present in the phone but a 5MP camera is there at the back. It is also capable of shooting 854×480 videos (without HD).

With Moto E of Motorola, you’ll get GPS, FM Radio, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 LE and 3G for connectivity. A thin skin custom made by Motorola is covering the running OS, Android 4.4.2 KitKat. 1980mAh battery is there to power the phone.

The price set for the phone is $120 or Rs. 12000 in Pakistan. Moto E could easily beat the Nokia X series of phone as the price is matching the range of this series.

Moto G with LTE and microSD

Apart from the Moto E, Motorola also announced its Moto G smartphone new and special version. This particular version comes with 4G LTE and microSD card, which were absent from its previous models.

The other specs are alike including 5MP camera which also shoots HD videos, 1GB RAM, Snapdragon 400 processor and 4.5” HD display. The price is set at $219 for this version.
