Recently, Motorola launched another duo of midrange smartphones, G5S and G5S Plus, which provide all the basic functions to perform. The price of both devices is $300 and $350 respectively.

Display & Design

At the front, the G5S has a 5.2” Full HD display along with a fingerprint scanner and a 5 MP camera on top. Its display is quite similar to that of the Moto G5.

Moto G5S

There is a larger 5.5” 1080p display on the G5s Plus along with a fingerprint scanner and an 8 MP camera on the front.

Both devices will be available in Fine Gold and Lunar Grey colors with aluminum finish.

Internals & Storages

The G5S has 1.4 GHz octa core snapdragon 430 CPU along with 32 GB internal storage (expandable up to 128 GB) and 3 GB RAM.

There is a faster 2 GHz octa core Snapdragon 625 CPU in the G5S Plus while its RAM and internal storage are same as above.

On both these devices, the OS is the Android nougat 7.1.

Cameras

The biggest difference between the two devices is in the camera department. The G5S has the main 16 GB camera with LED flash and phase detection autofocus. The G5S Plus has a dual camera setup with both 13 MP along with selective autofocus and a dual LED flash.

On the G5S and G5S Plus, there is 5 MP camera with LED flash and 8 MP camera respectively at the front.

The recording options in G5S and G5S Plus are 1080p and 4K videos respectively.

Battery

Both the devices have 3,000 mAh non removable batteries.
