The up gradation of Nokia Lumia 530 is less than expected after its official announcement just now. Its price is $115 without subsidies and taxes while the single-SIM version will come out in August.

The device has 16:9 aspect ratio but its 4” display with 854×480 resolution is similar to the Nokia Lumia 520’s display. The 520 had an IPS display but there’s just a regular LCD on Lumia 530.

Snapdragon 200 is the chipset of phone while with Adreno 302, quad-core 1.2GHz Cortex-A7 is the processor. Still, the phone has the same 512MB RAM like that of Lumia 630.

The Nokia Lumia 530 is bundled with Nokia Drive+ for world-wide navigation instead of single-country Drive navigation of the Lumia 520 while 530 will also come with Windows Phone 8.1. The apps can be moved to microSD card because the internal storage has been halved to 4GB.

The camera is also below with a tiny 1/4” sensor of 5MP resolution but it is fixed-focus. The Lumia 520 captures 720p video while 530 only records 854×480 video.

The battery of Lumia 520 and 530 are same at 1430mAh but 530 has less talk time on 2G but equal on 3G at 10h. The battery of Lumia 530 offers more standby at 22 days as compared to 16 days of Lumia 520.
