Nvidia New Laptop Graphics Cards 75% More Performance

The laptop manufacturing companies offer the laptops on the basis of the performance over value and Nvidia has announced the gap of performance between desktop and laptop.

The company has announced the three latest laptop GPUs including 1080, 1070 and 1060. They are not the mobile versions of the cards and it is completely similar to recently announce the variant and they are similar to them in terms of their performance.

The cards are VR ready and they are provided on the base of 16nm Pascal architecture. Nvidia has used the desktop GTX 980 cards in laptops. The new GPUs are provided within 10 percent of performance of the desktop counterparts and it also offers the boost of about 75 percent more than last generation. The users can find the laptop, 1080 on the top and it has2560 CUDA cores and it has the base/boost clocks of 1556/1733 Mhz, when it is compared to 1607/1773 for desktop. The next laptop is 1070 and it has higher number of CUDA cores if compared to desktop variants at 2048 and it has base or boost clocks of 1442/1645 Mhz. it has 8 GB of GB/s GDDR5 memory and has 256 bit interface and 256 GB bandwidth. Nvidia made it clear that current 980 running machines can accept 1070 and the laptop 1080 supports the over clocking and 1070 will get this feature in coming months.

The lower end of the current series of laptop of the company is 1060 and it sits in ultra books and other svelte setups, which are added with 1280 CUDA cores and has the base or boost clocks of 1404 / 1670 Mhz. They have 6 GB GDDR5 memory with 8 GB/s sped and it is added with 192 GB/s bandwidth.
