NADRA and DG of Immigration and Passports have collaborated together to commence the online passport or e-passport service in Pakistan today. According to Interior Minister Ch Nisar Ali Khan, the system will be expanded in next two years while people can renew their passport through internet at their homes.

Currently, there are only 95 passport offices in the whole of Pakistan due to which many people face difficulties in renewal of passports. Though, the decision has been made to increase passport offices in the country but even then it is important to immediately start e-passport project.

Online Application process for Taking Passport

After visiting the website of DG of Immigration & Passports, the user has to open account and submit application for renewal of passport. In the last step, the user will pay the fee through credit or debit card.

Requirements for Passport Process

The user will provide necessary documents, fingerprint scans, passport size photographs and other necessary documents along with application form. According to the website, maximum 17 minutes are taken for the completion of whole process.
