Pakistan Telecommunication Company is going to introduce another wonderful service for its users which is a smart TV. You can sign up for this smart TV and watch live TV channels on the desktop /mobile phone or laptops through internet. The people who work on the internet and the students who study on the internet and spend a lot of time before the screen of the computer or laptop, they can watch live TV channels through internet.
Smart TV with EVO
The procedure for watching Live TV on your computer/mobile phone or laptop is that you can use the PTCL internet connection through which you can get PTCL smart TV application and watch the show or match which you like most.
If you want to watch the program, show or match which has already been telecast during the last seven days, then you can watch it through re-run option. Simply you select the channel and the time of the show or match then you can re-run the program and watch it on Smart TV.
PTCL provided you another facility for the recording of the programs or shows or match or even the re-run programs on the hard disks and such process is known as DVR-Digital video recording.

Video Quality
The video quality and streaming of the programs being run on the PTCL Smart TV applications is smooth and fine. The streaming of the programs runs with 512 k bits per second which is a standard definition.
It is expected that the video streaming of the programs or shows will not buffer with the standard Evo connection with or more than 80-90 Kbps download speed. The streaming of the Evo connection will be below than 50-60 Kbps which results into video streaming and it will also buffer at that moment.

How to Avail PTCL Smart TV Application?
All the EVO customers can avail this facility simply by dialing 1236 and when they sign-up the Smart TV connection that they will see the program which they want. Simply you will have to send the username and password via email and they can enjoy the Smart TV facility.
When you install the facility successfully then you should enter your user name and password which will be provided by the PTCL, then the utility of Smart TV will be provided to you. When the Smart TV application started functioning successfully then this facility will be provided to the broadband customers but this service is now available to EVO customers only. The customers who subscribed for the PTCL Smart TV with EVO customers then they can watch Live TV channels through their Smart TV app which is provided on their broadband connection. But the customers should keep in mind that two connections at a time will not be given to same customer with same username and password.
PTCL Smart TV Application Charges:
PTCL will charge only Rs.50 per month as subscription charges for this service. It is a great service which is provided for Rs.50 and you can watch only 12 channels on it and it is also hoped that more channels will be added with this service and this service will also be provided to the broadband customers as well on the same rate of subscription charges.
