For customers of PTCL, the company yesterday announced a new high-speed DSL broadband package. In accordance with PTCL website, the customers now can avail 8Mbps DSL package with unlimited downloading for Rs. 2999/month which virtually means without any caps. Any new or existing PTCL customer can avail this package, according to PTCL.
The usual offer for 8Mbps package with unlimited downloads is Rs. 7000/month. PTCL added that from 1st January 2014 a data limit of 100 GBs per month will be applied and unlimited uploads/downloads can be enjoyed by customers till then.

After consuming 100 GBs data limit, the consumers will be charged Rs. 100/GB from 1st January 2015. But a billing cap of Rs. 7000/month for 8Mbps will make downloads unlimited again.
As it is difficult for copper wires to support such high-speed internet, therefore 8Mbps DSL package is recommended for only those locations where PTCL’s fibre is present till end-home.
