Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has asked all the benefactors of data SIM that before 31st December 2015, they have to confirm their customers through biometric verification while it is the second stage of biometric verification of SIMs.
PTCL proclaims Biometric Verification of EVO, Nitro Devices
After first stage of biometric verification, the cellular companies are already confirming their customers through BVS but only PTCL has asked its customers to also get tested their EVO and Nitro devices via BVS till 31st December this year.
In order to get complete verification of these devices before he last date, PTCL is currently contacting its customers through SMS and email broadcast also.
It was certified by an official of PTA that National Action Plan is the base of these confirmation of SIMs procedure. He told that cellular companies run the SIM verification movement from February to May 2015 and this latest verification drive is the continuation of this movement.
It is also confirmed by PTA that after the given deadline, any unconfirmed data SIM of any cellular company will be blocked.
PTCL has told its customers that they can confirm their EVO, Charji and Nitro devices from the Ufone dealers along with franchises, Ufone Service centers and One Stop shops of PTCL.
There are almost 1.2 million consumers of EVO, Charji and Nitro in the country, according to PTA while before the last deadline, all these customers are given only 30 days to verify their connections through BVS.
