PTCL Submarine Cable Can Cause Slow Internet Working

Pakistan is connected with outside world through the submarine cable but this cable has some issues these days. The TransWorld has the troubles for last many days and the entire traffic was shifted to PTCL and the heavy traffic caused the ended due to major disruption.

PTCL has announced that one of the international submarine cable systems, SEA-ME-WE-4 has developed the fault and this cable system issue can cause degraded customer experience including slow internet speeds, during the peak hours. PTCL made the announcement that international consortium has managed the submarine cable system and it has initiated the repair work to restore the services as soon as possible.

PTCL said that it is fully alert of the entire situation and necessary action has been taken to reduce the service impact has been undertaken. It is confirmed that the traffic is now routed through the 3 other submarine cable network that are available to PTCL.
