Keeping in mind the promise to provide the cheapest and affordable 5G chipsets, the American Chipmaker Qualcomm has announced the most affordable chipset Snapdragon 480 5G.

The Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 480 5G chipset is built with 8nm and integrated with Snapdragon X51 5G Modem which allows the connectivity support to both mmWave and Sub-6 GHz networks. The CPU is 2.0GHz Cortex A76 performance cores alongside 1.8GHz Cortex A55 efficiency cores with an Adreno 619 GPU.

The 480 5G boasts a two-fold increase in GPU and CPU performance and a 70% improvement in AI tasks as compared to 460 5G. Qualcomm’s Hexagon 686 chipset allows surprisingly fast processing.

As far as the support of SD 480 5G is concerned, it is supported with up to 120Hz refresh rate displays with FHD+ resolution, 64MP cameras with 1080p 60FPS recording, and up to a total of three camera sensors.
