Qualcomm Unveils High Performing Snapdragon 660 & 630

Qualcomm is the biggest smart phone chipmakers in the world and it has announced new midrange processors. The Qualcomm categorizes the chipsets in 4 big series. The 8xx series are reserved for high end or flagship smart phone and 6xx series are aimed at mid range and high end smart phones. 4xx for low end and 2xx for the entry level smart phones.

CPU and GPU Improvements

The smart phones, which are fallen in the mid range category, has the new Snapdragon 630 and 660 promise the wonderful upgrades, which is compared to their predecessors. The snapdragon 630 is superseded the 626 and Snapdragon 660 follows up on 653. There are some improvements, which are very marginal and 660 improves the 653’s CPU by 20% and GPU by 30%.
