The country like Pakistan is looking for the 4G network and it is providing the facility to its users. There are some countries, which are going to introduce 5G modem to their users. The Qualcomm is the popular smart phone chip maker and it has announced the 5G modem of the world. It is known as the Snapdragon X50 and supports the speed of 5Gbps. It has announced that the global average 4G speeds are 13.5 mbps. These are the theoretical speeds and this 5gbps milestone, which they obtained under lab conditions.

First Heading to South Korea

South Korea will launch the first 5G in 2018 and it will also be provided in other countries like UK and US by 2020. South Korea is becoming the leader in internet race with quickest global average internet speed for 4G and the fixed internet connection speed in South Korea is the fastest with the average of 98.7 mbps. These things make the sense for South Korea, which is the first country to launch 5G.

Statement of Ahsan Iqbal and future outlook

Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal said that Pakistan will soon get 5G and our country will also be included in the list of those countries, which are selected for test of 5G technology. He also said that Pakistan is far behind in the field of information technology. Pakistan is trying hard for the implementation of 5G and the 5G uses mm waves spectrum of 28 GHz range. These waves cannot be transmitted over the long distance the mobile phone operators will have to install several small stations, which are closed together instead of large towers in bigger cells. It will increase the cost of implementation of 5G technology for third world countries. Now Qualcomm is making plan to give the sample chips to the companies to test it in 2017. It is also expected that the first 5G enabled phones will launch in the market after 2018.
