NADRA has launched the SMS service for the verification of the family members and this service is providing for the registration of the CNIC holders, who can check their registration number under their family tree.
Through the SMS, you can get detail of your family and check the list of the family member. If you find any person as your family member, then you can report it to NADRA. The concerned authority will take action against such individuals, who are registered with your family tree. The people can know the procedure to send their SMS as instructed by NADRA, then they can check the status of their family tree and know even if you are not head of your family.
How to Verify NADRA CNIC through SMS?
- The applicants can send their CNIC number with or without dashes to 8008.
- When they will get the return SMS, they will get the detail of their family with names, who are registered persons of their family.
- If they are satisfied with the list, then they can reply with the message with 2. If they find any person in their family tree, who is not member of their family and they also do not know him, then they can notify it to the concerned authority with 1.
You are head of the family or not, you can send NADRA CNIC number to 8008 and they can get detail of their family with the names of people with-in their family tree.
How to Identify Illegal NADRA CNIC Holders?
NADRA maintains the list of the members of the families and the identity card is issued to the people, after registering them in the family trees, which are already registered with NADRA.
There are various people, who are inducted in the family histories and they can have illegal NARDA card holders, so they can give intimation on 8008 with the identification of any unknown person or name, who is appearing in their family tree.
The people should report about these unknown persons to NADRA immediately. The users can have big drawback of this service as they can know about any unknown name. Anyone, who have your CNIC number, then can get complete list of the family members.

It is reported that Telenor is not providing this service for sending SMS and get the reply of NADRA but it is hoped that the necessary information will be providing through Telenor and all other networks will also work in the same manner.
