Washington, The Semi Conductor Industry Association (SIA) has warned in their latest report that the computers will require the electricity excessive to the production capability till 2040 across the world, if no substitute initiative is taken to address this issue.

It is also said if no method is devised to develop the new computer, which are efficient in electricity consumption, then the world will see the biggest crisis of energy only after 24 years and the main reason of this electricity crisis will be computers. SIA has issued the analysis of the roadmap about the future of the semi conductor association and in the contents of the report, this dangerous forecast is also included in it.

The Moore’s Law has the sound grounds in the world of computer and it said that the number of transistors on microprocessors becomes double after every 18 months. It means that the electric consumption also becomes double after every 18 months. With the development of transistors in microprocessor, the consistency in the demand of the electricity is continued then in 2040, the computers all over the world will need so much electricity, which becomes out of our sources.

Such microprocessors are going to be prepared which can use less electricity and they can show good performance but the proceeding in this direction is very show. In the semi conductor industry, the fixed technology is used to prepare the microprocessors and it can be costly deal to change it and bring the new technology to replace the old one.
