Samsung Galaxy S8 Features and Specifications

In order to regain its lost status, Samsung is expected to release its flagship device “Galaxy S8” this year. Last year, the Korean manufacturer faced a huge blow when it had to recall “Note 7” after which it suffered $5 billion loss and now it is trying to compensate that by featuring this new smartphone with new design and latest technology.

The device hasn’t released yet but we have an idea of its major specs due to news shared about the device for quite some time. Here below, we are providing that information about the phone that we know so far.

Bezel-less Display

It is expected that a full screen bezel less display without ‘home’ button will be available in the latest flagship of Samsung. We are expecting to get more viewing area while maintaining previous size due to the latest design. There is a virtual home button in place of physical home button. We don’t know about the possibility of ‘finger print reader’ in such design.

4K Display

Samsung is especially famous for its smartphone displays. A dual curved display with Quad HD resolution has already been presented by the company. But there are reports that a higher 4K display will be offered with the upcoming Galaxy S8. A better user experience will be provided by higher resolution but it will also consume more energy due to which higher battery will be required.

Apart from that, a PRO screen can be replaced with the Edge badge by Samsung as there are rumors of two screens with curved displays in the S8.

AI Assistant

Currently, products with feature of smart assistants are provided by only Google and Apple but now this feature will also be available in S8 by Samsung. In the end of last year, Samsung purchased Viv Labs Inc that created voice assistant program and soon the company announced the inclusion of an AI assistant in its next flagship device ‘Galaxy S8’.

Hardware Upgrades

We are expecting best hardware features in this upcoming flagship device of Samsung and few of the rumored ones are most advanced Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and two rear cameras similar to that of Apple iPhone 7 Plus.

Release Date

The annual Mobile World Congress will held next month and Samsung usually releases its flagship mobile devices during this event. But there are expectations that the company will release the S8 quite later in the month of April.
