It is an always effort of Samsung that it should have few devices on the shelf of every type and level of phones. There is no exception for outdoor intended phones but the base of two latest phones is on their respective flagships. These are Galaxy S5 Active and Galaxy S4 Active. For the last two years, there is no update for the affordable Xcover range while 2013 was the last year when the latest Galaxy Xcover 2 launched here.

Now we have seen an exclusively new Samsung Galaxy Xcover 3 phone of this series and the things are going to change now. SM-G388F is the model destination of this device while the hardware of this phone is average, as expected.
There is 1GB of RAM and quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU in this hard smartphone while it also packs the chipset of Marvell Armada PXA 1908.

We have updates about this smartphone that the device also includes two cameras including 2MP front one and 5MP main camera. it also includes 8GB of storage while its 4.*” screen has 800×480 resolution.

The toughness is the main selling point of this smarrtphone instead of performance and it seems that the Galaxy Xcover 3 will deliver on that point. Its hard corners, sensor placement and button shape and arrangements are quite similar to the latest Galaxy S5.

There is a flash-camera-speaker at its back which makes it similar to the low level Samsung phones. In muddy or wet hands, one will be able to grip the phone firmly due to its superb textures.

Nothing is known about the pricing and availability of this smartphone so far but it will run on Android 4.4.4.
