Just now, Samsung has released its two new tablets of upper-end version Tab S2 and these are 8.0 and 9.7 tablets. As compared to the previous models, there is no such up gradation in these models and they might not replace them.
New Hardware Specs
After looking at spec sheets, you will find the changes quite impressive. Instead of an octa core Exynos 5433, now there is a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 with cortex-A72 which is a completely different chipset. A larger 28nm manufacturing process is used to made the 64-bit Snapdragon its performance enhances many folds in combination with Adreno 510 GPU.
New chipset also has LTE capabilities that are very important. There are several changes in software also. The biggest one is the inclusion of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow while most of the other things are same.
On the front, there is a Super AMOLED display with 8” and 9.7” size while their resolution is 2048 x 1536. According to the hardware changes, you will get 32 GB expandable internal storage, 3 GB RAM, Bluetooth and dual-band gigabit Wi-Fi.
The main 8 MP camera is at the back which can make 1440p videos while you will get a fingerprint scanner and a selfie camera on the front.
The 9.7” version is available at the price of 549 Euros (approx. Rs. 64,700) for LTE variant and at the price of 449 Euros (approx. Rs. 52,900) for simple variant. Only LTE version is available for 8” model and its price is 479 Euros (approx. 56,400). Within few weeks, these Samsung tabs will release in several markets.
