A new update has been dispatched by Snapchat to its iPhone and Android apps which also include the most expected ‘Group chats’ feature.

Snapchat was missing ‘chat groups’ that was available in other chatting apps. A particular chat can be sent to several users but it will be transferred as individual chats. If any among them sent a message to you then only you can see it.

But with this latest update by Snapchat, you can send a snap to 16 of your friends simultaneously. It will create a group of friends according to your choice and bottom of the screen will show the presence in the group to every group member.

Other Snapchat rules will apply including chats sent to a group will be deleted after 24 hours and can be replayed only once. A chat will disappear if a group member could not pick it I n time.

Apart from group chats, Snapchat has offered other features as well in this update.

  • Shazam a song: From Snapchat, you can also ‘Shazam’ a song. You only have to tap and hold the camera screen and Snapchat will use Shazam to listen nearby audio.

  • Custom stickers: Now, you can also add custom stickers for your snaps through Snapchat. You can use a Paintbrush or scissors tool to cut a sticker from photo.

As compared to other apps, Snapchat always proved itself to be a unique chatting app. The features like ‘disappearing messages’ and ‘stories’ were introduced by Snapchat. Despite efforts, companies like Facebook and others can’t defeat Snapchat with number of users.
