Telenor Pakistan has admitted a record income of Rs. 27.84 billion throughout the 4th quarter of 2014, while last year they posted Rs. 23.14 billion for same duration, mentioned by a financial report which was released by Telenor Group.
Enhancement in income is mostly credited to improve share from Easypaisa and international traffic that estimated to Rs. 6.33 billion throughout the reported quarter.
Easypaisa, which comprised of 9% of Telenor Pakistan’s total income throughout the quarter, performed 113 million money transfers along with a total of Rs. 300 billion transfer value that is displaying a growth of 42% from 2013.
Easypaisa had close to 13 million customers at the end of 2014.
Telenor collects 20% Growth in Revenues
During Q4 2014 Telenor admitted an operating profit of Rs. 6.44 billion, and throughout the same period last year up from Rs. 5.58 billion.
From further expansion of 3G network, capital expense was increased. The 3G network was growth to 1700 sites throughout the quarter; by the end of year we are trying to increase the 3G coverage up to 66 sites. They mentioned that their 25% subscribers are currently active data users.
Throughout the quarter, the total number of subscribers improved by 126000 to 36.5 million. Than the same quarter last year the subscriber base was 9 percent higher.
