For using Timepey, is it necessary to get registered?

Additional benefits and lower charges are provided by opening an account for the service which is the registration process for Timepey and to avail different services under Timepey, at any of our agent outlet, anyone can walk into.

For registration which place should I visit?

From any of the Zong Franchises, ZONG CSC or Bank branches, for the Timepey Account a customer can register. A valid and original NADRA CNIC is all they need to have.

Through email or fax, if the customer wants to get registered then what to do?

At any CSC, Franchise or Bank branch, the customer is needed to visit, in order to register to Timepey as per regulations.

For restaurant or school etc owners, how to be a part of this service?

Through the Timepey Merchant part of the website, it can be done as this comes under Merchant account.

Can there be increase or decrease in the limits?

For Level 0 and Level 1 accounts, the limits cannot be changed as per SBP approved regulations.

For registration, what are the charges?

The charges of registration, is Rs. 50.

Against each transaction, what are the charges?

Below, for each transaction, the charges are listed:

 

For the transaction, is there any upper or lower limit?

As per State Bank of Pakistan guidelines, the limits for transactions are provided and the update would be shared in case of deviation. Following are the guidelines:

Table:

  • Per day, Rs. 15,000/-
  • Per month, Rs. 25,000/-
  • Per year, Rs. 120,000/-
  • Maximum Balance Limits = Rs. 100,000/-

 

Level 1 Account:

  • Per day, Rs. 25,000/-
  • Per month, Rs. 60,000/-
  • Per Year, Rs. 500,000/-
  • Maximum Balance Limits = No limit

 

Limit on CNIC Transaction (Sender and Receiver):

  • Per month, Rs. 15,000/-

 

Through Timepey Account, where is the list of Merchants where customers can pay?

In the Timepey Merchant section of the website, the Merchant network list is available.

By the Timepey Customer, what transaction can be performed?

Through the Timepey account, the customer can perform following transactions:

  • Timepey Account to Timepey Account
  • Timepey Account to CNIC
  • CNIC to Timepey Account
  • CNIC to CNIC

 

A Money Transfer Transaction can be made by whom? Is it available for customers of ZONG only?

Money Transfer transaction and sending money to another person can be done by any person. A valid NADRA CNIC should be hold by both sender and receiver and also submitting the photocopies of their CNICs to Timepey is the only requirement in order to avail these services.

From where the money transfers can be sent or received by a customer?

At any CSC, Bank branch, ZONG Franchise or any Timepey agents who are doing a sending or receiving transaction, a customer can approach for the Money Transfer. Catering will not be done to the customer with expired CNICs.

The Money Transfer transaction takes how long? After a sender has sent money, for how long does the Receiver have to wait?

Instantly, the Money Transfer both sending and receiving is done.

To receive a Money Transfer transaction, for the customers, is there a time limit?

After 10 years, all un-claimed amounts will be surrender to SBP as per Regulation but apart from this there is no as such time limit. Within 30 working days of transaction, their money transfer transaction should be claimed by the customers as recommended.

To conduct Money Transfer, does a customer need to have a mobile phone?

No, to provide the mobile phone number, there is no mandatory requirement for both the sender and receiver. They will be able to receive the transaction information message by providing mobile phone number which is a benefit for them. Through Mobile phones, in logging complaints and lastly conducting transaction can lead to lower charges, which will be very helpful for them.

After the transaction, will the customer get a receipt or any SMS notification?

At the time of any transaction or any leg of the transaction is completed, to the sender and the receiver, SMS notification will be sent. For the transactions, if the mobile phone numbers have been provided then this can only be possible. To both the sender and receiver, a system generated signed transaction receipt having the transaction and other details will be provided by the Timepey Agent, apart from the SMS notification.

 

 

If the customer forgets his transaction PIN, what should he do?

With his original NADRA CNIC with him, to the nearest CSC, Franchise or Bank Branch, the customer needs to visit.

If the customer forgets the Transaction ID, then what will be the procedure?

After the transaction, to the customer, a receipt is given by an agent, on which the Transaction ID is given. For verification, the customer must keep this receipt. By calling the help line and after verification and providing the required information, the customer may obtain his Transaction ID, if he has forgotten it.

If the customer doesn’t receive the confirmation message, then what he should do?

It should be ensured that the phone numbers mentioned on the transaction receipt are correct by the customers. Apart from this the customer can call to the helpline, the call center agent will confirm the transaction status after the verification and the confirmation message will be resent if required.

Who can be the account holder of Timepey Branchless Banking?

For a Timepey Account, any ZONG customer can sign up along with a valid and original NADRA CNIC.

If a ZONG SIM is doesn’t owned by the customer, then what to do?

The customer then in that case can either buy a new ZONG connection either pre-paid or post paid, or they can have MNP into Zong. With relevant ownership details in the system, once the customer record is successfully updated, then the Timepey account will only be open in both the cases.

Associated to his/her number, can a customer have more than one Mobile Account?

Per Customer there can be only one Mobile Account as per State Bank of Pakistan rules.

Against multiple SIMS, can a customer have multiple Mobile Accounts? What is the Maximum limit?

Per Customer there can only be Mobile Account no matter how many mobile phone numbers they have as per State Bank of Pakistan rules. With one ZONG MSISDN, the Mobile account will only be associated.

What the Timepey Account Number is?

The Timepey Account Number is the customer Mobile number. For devising account number, additional security measures would be looked into.

What is the PIN?

An alpha-numeric PIN code for the Account would be given to the customers after the account creation, which has to change by the customer. To authorize all transaction from the Timepey Account, this PIN code will be used which is similar to an ATM PIN code. No transaction will be possible without this PIN code. This PIN code should not be shared to anybody by the customer, which is extremely important.

The Timepey Account is how secured?

As an ATM, the same level of security is encompasses by the Timepey Accounts. Apart from this, using standard GSM encryption, all transaction from the mobile phone, are encrypted.

If the Timepey Account PIN is forgotten by the customer, then what to do?

In order to log a request for PIN reset, like in this case, the customer needs to call the helpline. From the team, the customer will get a verification call. A new PIN will be communicated to the customer after successful verification.

Will the Timepey Mobile Account compromise, if a customer’s SIM is stolen?

As the account without the customer’s secret PIN code, cannot be used so the account is never compromised. In order to log a request and report for blocking the stolen SIM, the customer should call the helpline. The SIM will be blocked, the account will be blocked, and PIN of the customer reset after the verification from the customer. From any ZONG CSC, Franchise, the replacement SIM can be collected by the customer and then after changing his PIN, he can continue using his Timepey Account.

To his/her Timepey Account, how can a customer access?

Through the USSD command string or through the STK/DSTK, the account could be accessed. There will be addition of other channels like GPRS, web etc.

With Timepey Account, what different services are provided?

On a Timepey Account, following services are offered:

  • Utility Bill Payment
  • Money Transfer
  • Cash In
  • Cash Out
  • Account Transfers

 

 

What Cash In is? Before performing Cash In, what does the customer is required?

Basically adding money to the Timepey Account is called Cash In. In order to do a successful Cash In, a ZONG SIM and a valid Timepey Account is needed to be had with the customer.

What Cash Out is? Before performing Cash Out, what does the customer is required?

Basically withdrawing money from the Timepey Account is called Cash Out. In order to do a successful Cash Out, the customer should have a ZONG SIM, a valid Timepey Account and available funds in the account.

For closing Timepey Account, what is the procedure?

To a CSC, Franchise or Bank branch, the customer is needed to visit and fill the account closing form in order to close a Timepey Account. To the Bank Team, the request will be sent and the customer’s account would be closed by the Bank Team after verification from the customer. From the same CSC, Franchise or Bank branch, where the request to close the account was initiated, the customer can pick up any remaining balance in the account.

If the customer wants to MNP out to another operator, then what he should do?

Before being able to MNP out, first their Timepey Account should be closed by the customer.

If the customer wants to terminates his mobile phone services, then what to do?

Before requesting for mobile phone service termination, the customer has to first close his/her Timepey account.
