With the introduction of one of the lowest priced Android Smartphone enabling 3G, Ufone has started the manufacturing of Smartphone devices.  Ufone Smart U5 is the name of this smartphone whose price is just Rs. 5,999 and a six-month warranty is also available with it.

Apart from being a low price smartphone with Android, the Smart U5 also includes other properties including 3 month free use of twitter, Facebook and Whatsapp along with 3 month free of charge use of 500MBs of data.  But you can’t use Smart U5 on any other network except Ufone because this phone is network locked.

Now surely the Chines Phones and beands like QMobile will have to face tough competition from this Ufone branded smartphone due to its specs and low price.  Ufone claims that the 3G access to lot of low end users will be improved through the introduction of this smartphone as most of these people will now be able to purchase an Android smartphone with 3G connections in such a low price.  The company is hoping that by using Smart U5, most of Ufone customers will be able to connect to the internet for the first time.
