Verizon is to Buy Yahoo for $5 Billion

Verizon Communications Inc is going to finalize the purchase of Yahoo for $5 billion in cash. This deal is still not fully authorized and it can be cancelled due to any unknown reason, so the reports suggest that both the companies reached near to closing of deal and any announcement can be expected in next few days.

Verizon is the biggest wireless carrier company in America and it is looking for getting the web properties in recent past few years. This company bought the AOL for just $4.4 billion and it will get the access to the most wonderful web properties of this page after finalizing this deal. Currently, Verizon is competing with Alphabet Inc and it is trying hard to make its good position as the largest online property owner.

When yahoo started function, it earned a lot in its early days, then it could not keep the trends and its usage was declined with the time. Though this company has various types of services and millions of users are still attached with it.

Marissa Mayer is the CEO of Yahoo, who became controversial and she tried to revive it many times but she failed to do so and it appears that her job is going to finish.

The details of the deal show that this deal will comprise of web and mobile applications of yahoo but it is excluded the mobile and web applications of Yahoo and patents will be included in it, which Yahoo wants to sell them separately so that it can earn few hundred million dollars. It is expected that this deal will be made official in next few days.
