Sometimes, you sent a message to your dear one which is not suitable for him/ her and it results in a drastic situation as most of the apps don’t let you delete these messages.

WhatsApp is the most popular instant messaging app but it is not presenting this feature. But now there are reports that WhatsApp will soon include a feature that will let you edit or delete your sent messages. This new feature has been tested in the beta version of WhatsApp while you will be able to delete or edit a message you haven’t sent to any person. This feature can only work if the sent message hasn’t been read by the recipient.

Works Only With Non-Read Messages

You can delete or edit your message if it has a grey tick mark (message sent) or two grey tick marks (message received) but message with blue tick mark (message read) can’t be deleted or edited.

Apart from that, two new features are also added in the WhatsApp beta.

WhatsApp “Stories”

Like Snapchat Stories, you can also add such similar feature in your WhatsApp status. A picture or a doodle can be added by users that will remain there for 24 hours while they can comment on the status of other people also.

Live Location Tracking

Another feature in this latest version helps you to track the location of other members in a group. ‘Live location tracking’ is the name of this feature through which you can track location of any other person in the group permanently or for 5 minutes, 2 minutes or 1 minute. If you don’t want to be tracked by others, you can disable this feature.

By downloading the beta version of WhatsApp, you can use these features now. But it should be remembered before installing that beta version of an app usually contains bugs and malfunctions.
