Xiaomi Mi Max has a metal body and a large 6.44” screen display. Sale of this latest phablet will start from China while it will come in 3 versions.
The Chinese technology company has officially announced the release of new phablet Xiaomi Mi Max in Beijing (China) during an event.
The company says that the latest device weights 203 gram while it is ultra-slim with 7.5 mm thickness. Due to this size and weight, the phablet can be put in a pocket of jeans. Color options of the device include dark grey, gold and silver.
There will be 3 versions of Mi Max. The first one will include 3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage and the Qualcomm 650 hexa core CPU. The price of this version is RMB 1499. The second model has the same RAM and storage space but it will be run by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 quad core CPU while RMB 1699 will be the price of this version. The most expensive version will be available at RMB 1999 that will include Snapdragon quad core 652 CPU, 4 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage.
There are few things common in all these versions including 4G LTE enable, dual SIM and microSD slot support. Mi Max has a large 4850 mAH battery, a metal body and a fingerprint scanner at the back. There is a 16 MP rear camera with phase-detection autofocus while the 5 MP front selfie camera is there with wide-angle support.
You can use the Mi Max phone as remote for your TV, AC or other such devices due to the presence of infrared sensor in the device.
You will find new features in MIUI8 including a new notification bar, improved design and better Notes App. Also, MIUI8 can detect fraud or scam messages and will come with a power-saving mode. The phone includes QR code scanner which has special functions in China like payment via Alipay.
The registration for the device will start from 16th May 2016 while 1stJune 2016 is the starting date of beta testing.
