Xiaomi Notebook Air a Macbook Killer

The launching events of Xiaomi are known for including multiple devices at a time. This time, the Chinese company has also announced the laptop Mi Notebook with Windows 10 OS along with the announcement of the Redmi Pro.

The Mi Notebook Air

Currently in this line, two versions are available including a 12.5” version and a 13.3” version. Few specs are common in both these versions including 1080p screen resolution, 1 MP camera, slim bezels, metallic designs, a backlit keyboard and a USB type-C port for charging.

The weight and thickness of 13.3” version is 1.28 KG and 14.28 mm respectively. It has processor of Intel Core i5-6200U along with 1 GB memory and 8 GB of RAM. The memory can also be enhanced to 256 GB through SATA slot for expansion. Rs. 78,545 or 4,999 Yuan is the price of this version.

As compared to the 13” Macbook Air, it is lighter and thinner while 9.5 hours is the timing of its battery which is 40 Wh. It also has fast charging ability through which 50% battery can be charged in just half an hour.

The Cheaper Mi Notebook

The 12.5” MI Notebook is lighter and thinner even than 13.3” version which has weight of 1.07 kg and thickness of 12.9 mm.

But it has lesser specs as compared to the bigger Mi Notebook due to its low price. The phone has a processor of Intel Core m3 along with 128 GB memory and 4 GB of RAM. You can upgrade its free PCIe slot later. It also includes one USB 3.0 port.

The good thing about the smaller version is its long battery time. Its price is Rs. 54,977 or 3499 Yuan. On 2nd August, the Xiaomi’s Mi Notebook Air will be available in China but there is no information about its availability in Pakistan at this time.
