Acer made a history at the IFA 2016 event by introducing the ‘Acer Swift 7’, their thinnest laptop till now. Its thickness is just about 1 cm.

The Thinnest Laptop Out There

Windows 10 is the OS in the laptop while Intel Core i5 processor is powering this laptop. Its thickness is just 9.98 mm (0.39 inches).

The laptop has beaten the Macbook and new Spectre laptop by HP but even then it has enough space for necessary functions. It has a headphone jack and two USB type-C ports. Due to efficient processor, it’s battery lasts 9 hours. At full HD resolution with an IPS panel, its screen size clocks at 13.3”. It includes 256 GB solid state drive and 8 GB of RAM.

There is a Kaby lake chip inside the laptop which cools itself and doesn’t require any fan. The Acer Swift 7 is gold in color from inside and dark color on outside while it is made of unibody aluminum.

According to expectations from ultra thin laptop, it is quite light with only 1.1 kg weight. But as compared to other laptops, it has quite huge touchpad.

Pricing

In September 2016, it will be available in China for 6999 Yuan. In October 2016, it will be available in USA and Europe with $999 and 1299 Euro respectively.
