Amidst the backdrop of a challenging global economy, there’s a glimmer of hope for potential buyers of the Apple iPhone 15 Pro. However, for those eyeing the iPhone 15 Pro Max, there might be some disappointment on the horizon. According to a recent report from TrendForce, the pricing landscape for these upcoming flagship smartphones is undergoing a noteworthy shift.

In a mixed bag of news, the iPhone 15 Pro seems to be maintaining its current pricing strategy. This means that, at least in the US, it will continue to start at the familiar $999 price point. However, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is poised for a $100 price increase, now set to cost $1199, as indicated by TrendForce’s report.

The iPhone 15 Pro is expected to boast a 6.1-inch OLED display, an array of three rear cameras, and the cutting-edge A17 Bionic chip, built upon TSMC’s next-generation 3nm process. Although details are still somewhat shrouded in mystery, there are hints of a titanium frame and an upgraded camera system. The device will be equipped with 8 GB of RAM and offer storage options reaching up to a substantial 1 TB.

On the other hand, the Pro Max variant will feature a larger 6.7-inch OLED screen, and there’s speculation it might even bear the moniker “iPhone 15 Ultra” this time around. It will flaunt four rear cameras, yet share the same A17 Bionic chip as its smaller counterpart. Memory-wise, it will also pack 8 GB of RAM, with storage capacities stretching up to 1 TB—an upgrade from the 6 GB RAM seen in the current generation iPhone 14 Pro.

As Apple has officially confirmed, the launch event for the much-anticipated iPhone 15 series is scheduled for September 12, commencing at 10 AM PT, equivalent to 10 PM PKT. With these pricing revelations in mind, the event promises to be an intriguing affair for tech enthusiasts and prospective buyers alike.
