In most of the international markets, the company sells its mobile phone devices. Last year, the company remained at 4th highest in the world by shipping 80 million units including smartphones, feature phones and others.
A Chinese electronics company TCL Corporation is the owner of Alcatel (a mobile phone brand). The quality of Alcatel is quite similar to other famous companies like Nokia, Motorola and Siemens. It is not difficult for company with such a huge experience to manufacture high quality mobiles as it is in this market for a long time.
Phones with high quality and low cost is the worldwide specialty of Alcatel. There are several companies in Pakistan that are presenting low-end mobiles but so far no company is offering smartphones with high quality and low cost in Pakistan. Due to this reason, it is expected that the company will get a good share in midrange and low end segment of the mobile phone market.
There’s no doubt that Alcatel is entering the Pakistani market to complete other mobile phone and companies of low end and midrange level. An important reason, that international companies entering the Pakistani market is the status of Pakistan as an emerging market of smartphones. This new entry of famous company will provide the combination of low price and good specs mobiles in the country for the first time.
