The tablet business has proved much profitable for Apple, which is evident from its latest earning report. During the last quarter, Apple’s revenue grew to 7% despite the selling of 9% less iPads due to higher prices. Now it seems the company wants to occupy the remaining market share of tablets by introducing new models.

According to famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the company might release three new iPad models in 2017. It includes the first ever mid ranger 10.5” along with a larger 12.9” and a cheaper 9.7” iPad model.

He didn’t say anything about the iPad Mini because he thinks that there will be no need for smaller tablets due to the presence of large iPhones in the market.

But Apple planned changes for 2018 are the most important ones. There are expectations that the company can introduce a new AMOLED iPad model with several design changes and flexible display. We will receive further details later.

Ming-Chi Kui thinks that Apple will reduce its current shipment for near future as less models are expected this year that will reduce number of tablets from 45-50 millions to only 35-40 millions.

For quite some time, the markets for tablets is considered quite dull but now it seems that we will hear few very good news for the tablet market in the near future.
