The smartphone makers are now launching and manufacturing their foldable devices. In this trend tech companies like Samsung and Motorola has already unveiled their foldable phones in the market. No it is reportedly said that the globally renowned tech giant Apple is also going to work on a foldable phone. It is claimed in reports that after releasing a foldable iPhone the company will discontinue already released iPad Mini tablets in the market. The reason behind the replacement is that the new foldable iPhone will go on iPad OS and expected to be a cross between the iPad Mini and iPhones and it will be similar to iPad mini when it will be folded.

The reports are for the discontinuation of the iPad Mini and launch of a foldable iPhone is not officially confirmed by the sources of Apple. But it is likely to be possible if company goes with such development as reported.

The display and design of the expected iPhone foldable will feature a display design that once it is opened, it will appear to have a single continuous display instead of two separate panels stuck together, even though that will be the case. This means that the design could be strikingly similar to the Samsung Galaxy Fold series. It is expected to cost more than the current foldable phones, which means it could easily go above $2000.

As for future iPhones, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo expects that we will not see the next iPhone SE in the first half of 2021 and this will mainly be caused by increased competition in Apple’s supply chain.
