YouTube’s competitor network, “Watch”, will soon be launched by Facebook as its own service. This service has limited numbers of content creators and it will initially be launched in USA only.
Just few days ago, Google launched its complete video sharing and messaging service in mobile app and now Facebook has announced its rival service to YouTube.
In contrary to previous rumors that Facebook will launch TV-like shows, the social media giant instead started a service which is similar to YouTube, according to specialists.
So far, the release date of the service hasn’t been mentioned but the “Watch” service will immediately be available to users in the USA, according to a tech blog.
Through a newly created ‘Watch’ tab on Facebook, the users can not only watch videos according to their feed but it will also enable them to subscribe to their favorite shows and also to create their unique watchlist.
The reports say that producer of a ideo will get 55% share of the ad break while rest will be taken by Facebook itself.
Facebook is recently investing in the creation of periodic content, according to Facebook CEO Sheryl Sandberg.
