By introducing the Desire 8 handset, HTC seems to be getting ready for expanding its mid-range line after recently unveiling a pool of Desire-branded smartphones. It is known by the reports which are citing purportedly leaked specifications and images.
On 18th March 2014, the alleged HTC Desire is expected to be announced with availability and price. A 5.5” display with an unspecified pixel resolution is said to be featured by the yet-to-be-announced mid-range dual-SIM device and according to My Drivers, a Chinese website, it will reportedly be the first HTC device to be released after the HTC Desire 700.
The alleged HTC Desire 8 will include a 13MP rear camera, ditching the first seen UltraPixel technology with HTC One, according to reports. With a ‘beautification mode’, the handset will also include a high 5MP front shooter, not been described in detail so far.
The Desire 8 will also reportedly feature on-screen buttons instead of capacitive. The design of handset is said to share a signature feature of HTC handsets – stereo front-facing speakers.
It has also been rumored that the successor of HTC One mini – HTC M8 mini – is developed by the firm. A tipster says that the handset will include Android 4.4.2 KitKat, 1GB RAM, quad-core 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and a 4.5” 720p display.
